Can a buyer living outside Israel buy property there?
In many cases, yes — but not for every property or every buyer: some rules, particularly for land managed by the Israel Land Authority, depend on the buyer’s status. Can properties be viewed remotely?
Part of the project can move forward remotely: video calls are possible on request and, depending on the property, additional photos or videos can be sent. We nevertheless recommend visiting shortlisted properties in person before committing.
What costs should I plan for on top of the purchase price?
Mainly the purchase tax (mas rechisha), whose amount depends in particular on your situation, plus legal fees and agency fees. Ask your lawyer to estimate these costs before making any offer.
